PLATINUM AUTOMATIC IGNITION SYSTEM

  • IS THERE A STANDARD AND HIGH CAPACITY VERSION OF THE PLATINUM?

    The Platinum Ignition is certifi ed up to 680,000 BTUs. There is no need for a Standard and a High Capacity
    version.

  • WHAT IS THE VALVE AND INLET SIZING?

     The Platinum has a 3/4″ valve and gas inlet. It can be easily adapted to 1/2″ manifolds.

  • IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE NG AND LP VERSION OF THE IGNITION?

    Yes, the Pilot Assembly on the Platinum is gas-specific.

  • IS THIS A DUAL PILOT SYSTEM?

    No, the Platinum Ignition is a single pilot system.

  • WILL THIS BE OFFERED WITH PILOT TUBE EXTENSIONS?

    Yes. The Platinum comes with a two-foot pilot tube. The Pilot can be extended up to an additional 10 feet. We offer pilot tubing in one-foot increments.

  • WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE LED INDICATOR LIGHT?

    The LED Indictator light is for troubleshooting and diagnostic purposes and will pause between blinks to allow you to diagnose the issue being encountered.

  • WHAT IS THE VOLTAGE RANGE OF THE PLATINUM?

    The Platinum operates at 24 volts. The transformer is wired for 120 volts. The transformer can be used with 240 or 480 volt outlets. This will require appropriate pigtail modifications to be made by the electrician on site.

  • DOES THE PLATINUM USE A STANDING PILOT?

    Yes, the Platinum uses a standing pilot.

  • WHAT ARE THE DIMENSIONS OF THE MERCURY FACEPLATE?

  • WHAT PROTECTION FROM WATER DOES THE MERCURY OFFER?

    The pilot hood is expertly designed to provide enhanced protection by directing water away from the pilot components. When the WATERSTOP™ fitting is incorporated on the burner, there is unparalleled protection for the system from water and debris.

  • CAN THE MERCURY BE INSTALLED IN THE FIELD?

    The Mercury can easily be installed on-site, to a new or existing burner system. Our comprehensive manual provides detailed installation instructions.

  • DOES THE MERCURY REQUIRE A KEY VALVE?

    The Mercury uses a manual controlled gas valve that uses a control knob for turning on, lighting, controlling the flame height, and turning the system off. The control knob is used rather than a key and key valve. A key valve can be added for a redundant shut-off but is not required.

  • WHAT IS THE MERCURY’S WARRANTY?

    The ignition is backed by a 3-year warranty on residential installations and a 1-year warranty on commercial
    installations.
